Community Membership
"Finally breathing. Connected. Supported."

If you've ever felt like:

-
You’re the one everyone turns to, but you’re not sure who you turn to.

-
You love your work but it all just feels too much.

-
You’ve felt the creeping guilt of not doing enough (even though you’re doing the work of five people).

-
You’ve wondered if you’re the only one quietly winging it.

-
You just want a safe space to talk about all of this without having to sound “professional” or “together”.

Then you're in the right place...
What to expect
Leadership in a small charity can feel lonely.

You’re making big decisions with small teams (sometimes with no team), often without enough time, money or moral support.
You care deeply, but sometimes it feels like everyone else is coasting while you’re treading water (or drowning).

You don’t need another qualification.
You need people who get it - and a space where you can be honest, ask questions, and still leave feeling lighter.

Through my work with Small Charity Leaders Club, I see what happens when people who care deeply get the right mix of structure and support.

The live sessions and guest speakers gave leaders the tools they needed.
But it was the community that changed everything - the endless moral support, the shared laughter, the “same here” moments.

So I created the Small Charity Leaders Membership Community for anyone who wants to keep that connection going, or join it for the first time.
A place to stay connected, stay learning, and stay well.

Joining gives you...
✅ A network of peers who understand your world
✅ Practical, real-time ideas you can use straight away
✅ Access to ongoing learning and expert insights
✅ A chance to reflect — not just react
✅ Reassurance, community and perspective
You’ll feel more connected, more confident and less like you’re doing it all in a vacuum.
The monthly run-down
1000s of small charities supported over almost 20 years
-
I’m Vic Hancock Fell, and I’ve spent nearly 20 years working in and alongside small charities - as a founder, CEO, consultant, Trustee, trainer and cheerleader.
-

-
I’ve led small charities through growth, crisis and everything in between, and co-authored national research on small charity leadership and mental health.
-

-
I’m a sector advocate, good-trouble- maker and tireless defender of small charities - and I know first-hand how lonely this work can be.
-

-
I've worked with thousands of small charities and their leaders over the course of my almost 20 year career in this sector.

I know what you're thinking...
"I can't justify spending on this".

"My charity doesn't have the budget for this"

"I'm just so busy - what if I don't have time for this?"

I hear you and I know money is tight and time even more so - but I also know that this community will be a game-changer for you. The research I led in 2024 found that 85% of small charity leaders said their mental health was negatively impacted by their role as a small charity leader - among the top challenges listed were loneliness and isolation.

Do something for you - and for your organisation.
Because when you’re supported, connected and looked after, everything you lead gets stronger too. This isn’t an indulgence. It’s part of leading well.

Got questions? We've got answers...

What do your peers say?
“You’ve created something life-changing, Vic. That’s huge.”
“This group has slowed me down and helped a little as I feel I’m in the middle of yet another crisis this year. A lovely group you have here.”

“Finally breathing. Connected. Supported.”

“You’ve built a space where we can be honest, messy and still feel seen.”

“The support and understanding I’ve found here is unlike anything else. It’s real, practical, and full of heart.”

“Vic’s spaces are a rare mix of smart and safe. I’ve learned so much, but I’ve also laughed and felt genuinely seen.”

How do the Peer Support Groups work? When you join, you’ll be added to a small group of 6–8 members who meet monthly for open, supportive chats about real challenges and wins. We match you based on your availability when you join. To keep the groups small and consistent, the Community opens in intakes a few times a year. Each new cohort is welcomed in together, and we set up peer groups for everyone in that intake.

Can I join at any time? I open doors to the Community a few times a year so I can welcome new members in small groups and set up peer groups properly. If membership isn’t open right now, you can join the waitlist to be first in line for the next intake.

How much time will it take each month? If you come to the monthly deep-dive webinars and a fortnightly Peer Support Group that's about 3-4 hours a month. Dip in and out as your calendar and energy levels allow.

Do I have to come to everything? Not at all. The Community is there to support you, not overwhelm you. Some members love coming to every live session; others just check in on WhatsApp when they can. You’ll still get plenty of value whichever way you engage.

Is there a minimum commitment? No - you can stay for as long as the Community feels useful to you. There’s no minimum term or lock-in. But, longer you’re part of the Community and get to know your group, the stronger the connections (and the support) become.
